Blockchain developer platform Alchemy has launched AlchemyAI, a suite of tools designed to harness the power of AI and assist web3 developers in speeding up their product development processes and accessing on-chain data more efficiently.

The suite includes two flagship products, ChatWeb3 and Alchemy ChatGPT Plugin, which will be made available in the coming weeks.

With the introduction of AlchemyAI, Alchemy joins a growing list of crypto companies exploring the application of large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT within the blockchain space.

This integration of AI technology aims to democratize web3 development by enabling non-technical individuals to participate more easily in the industry.

ChatWeb3, currently in beta, is an AI chatbot powered by ChatGPT. Trained on a vast range of Alchemy documents and other crypto resources, the chatbot assists web3 developers by providing predefined code snippets, templates, and best practices, reducing time spent on repetitive tasks.

Alchemy’s product manager, Arjun Patel, highlighted that AI assistance can empower developers to overcome challenges and accelerate their workflow.

In addition to ChatWeb3, Alchemy has developed a standalone plugin for ChatGPT, accessible through OpenAI’s Plugin Marketplace.

This plugin enables developers and non-developers alike to obtain real-time blockchain information using natural language queries via Alchemy’s API endpoints.

Currently supporting various blockchains such as Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Optimism, the plugin will expand its coverage to include all chains supported by Alchemy.

Elan Halpern, a product manager at Alchemy, emphasized the collaborative aspect of ChatWeb3, envisioning developers treating it as a programming partner for debugging and troubleshooting complex issues on the blockchain.
