Aito, Supported by Huawei, Receives 50,000 Orders for M7 Car Relaunch
Aito, a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brand backed by Huawei, has received more than 50,000 orders for its revamped M7 model within the first 25 days since it went on sale. The announcement was made by Richard Yu, Huawei’s Smart Car CEO, on his Weibo social media account on Saturday. The orders, which required a non-refundable deposit, would put Aito among China’s five top-selling new energy vehicle manufacturers, based on sales data for August. The revamped M7 is a five-seat SUV with a starting price of CNY249,800 (USD34,270). It is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric
