Chromia, a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform, has announced a strategic investment and technical partnership with Chasm Network, a leading player in decentralized artificial intelligence.
As AI becomes more integrated into everyday activities, the demand for transparency and accountability in these systems has grown. Chasm Network is responding to these concerns by creating decentralized AI models that allow users to access and verify the decision-making processes involved.
Chasm Network operates on Mantle, an Ethereum Layer-2 rollup, where its native token, Chasm AI ($CAI), is set to launch on Thursday, October 24. While Mantle provides the core infrastructure for Chasm, Chromia will serve as a decentralized database layer to store critical AI inference data.
This task is managed by Chasm opML Database, a decentralized application built on Chromia. The initial version has already been developed and deployed on Chromia’s mainnet. The application generates transparent and immutable records, ensuring the verifiability of sources used in AI decision-making processes.
“Chromia’s relational architecture is uniquely suited to manage Chasm Network’s inference data,” said KC Thee, co-founder of Chasm. “This collaboration ensures that AI systems using Chasm’s opML inference mechanisms are accessible, tamper-proof, and decentralized, allowing for scrutiny that prevents bias and manipulation.”
Chasm’s integration with Chromia exemplifies how Chromia operates as a utility layer for existing EVM-based projects. This partnership showcases Chromia’s capacity to integrate with data-intensive projects across the crypto ecosystem, enhancing secure and efficient data management for complex use cases, including decentralized AI.
“This partnership highlights Chromia’s ability to integrate with data-intensive projects across the crypto ecosystem,” remarked Yeou Jie, Chromia’s Head of Business Development. “Our collaboration improves secure and efficient data management for complex use cases, including decentralized AI.”
Moving forward, the projects will continue to work together to refine the existing application, while exploring additional opportunities for enhancement. Chasm Network is preparing for the launch of its native token, while Chromia continues to expand its mainnet ecosystem through its recently launched Data and AI Ecosystem Fund.
About Chromia
Chromia is a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform that uses a modular framework to empower users and developers with dedicated dapp chains, customizable fee structures, and enhanced digital assets. By fundamentally changing how information is structured on the blockchain, Chromia provides natively queryable data indexed in real-time, challenging the status quo to deliver innovations that will streamline the end-user experience and facilitate new Web3 business models.
About Chasm Network
Chasm Network is an AI economy platform designed to accelerate the development of AI applications through two core components: the Scout Layer and Weave. The Scout Layer is a decentralized system where node operators compete to curate optimal AI models and compute resources, with an orchestrator that uses a mixture-of-models approach to intelligently route user requests. This ensures a balance between performance and cost-efficiency, simplifying access to AI capabilities for developers. Weave is a user-friendly builder platform that allows creators to develop AI-powered prompts, workflows, and APIs, with future plans for a marketplace to monetize their creations. Chasm Network bridges the gap between AI potential and practical applications, fostering innovation in the AI ecosystem.
