Horizen Labs, a leading blockchain technology company, today announced the appointment of two new key executives to its leadership team. These strategic hires reflect Horizen Labs’ commitment to expanding its global footprint, with a particular focus on strengthening its presence in Asia, an important market for blockchain adoption.

Gwendolyn Regina joins Horizen Labs as Regional Vice President, Asia, where she will spearhead the company’s expansion and establish a stronger presence in the region. Gwendolyn brings nearly two decades of operational, leadership, and investment experience, with a proven track record of scaling ventures from inception across the technology and media sectors in Asia Pacific, the U.S., and France. Before joining Horizen Labs, she served as Director at Binance, where she built and launched the BNB Chain fund, a part of Binance Labs.

Andy Bryant has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Horizen Labs. In this role, Andy will leverage his extensive expertise in blockchain, fintech, and executive leadership to drive the company’s strategic growth initiatives. Andy is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in the technology and financial services industries. Most recently, he was the founder & CEO of Vektor, the world’s first operating system for decentralized finance (acquired by Nirvana Labs). His prior roles include C-Suite positions at bitFlyer (Japan’s No.1 exchange), BDA Partners, and Suzu Technologies.

These leadership appointments come at a pivotal time for Horizen Labs, following the recent rebranding of Horizen and the numerous projects in the pipeline, including the Mainnet launch of the Horizen 2.0 blockchain in H1 2025. Asia, now the number one continent for blockchain developers, serves as a strategic focus for the company’s growth as it plans to engage more deeply with local developers and builders via hackathons and grant programs. With these new hires, Horizen Labs is solidifying its position as a leading blockchain technology company specializing in cutting-edge ZK solutions.

Statements from the Team

“We are thrilled to welcome Andy and Gwen to the Horizen Labs team,” said Rob Viglione, CEO of Horizen Labs. “Andy’s exceptional track record in building and scaling innovative businesses, particularly within blockchain and fintech, coupled with Gwen’s deep expertise in the Asia Pacific market, will be instrumental as we expand our product offerings and strengthen our global presence.”
