Adidas has announced an exciting collaboration with popular digital artist FEWOCiOUS, bringing together physical sneakers and NFTs.

This partnership marks Adidas’ further expansion into the realm of digital collectibles and highlights its commitment to staying competitive in the industry.

The Adidas Originals x FEWOCiOUS collection is set to offer a unique fusion of art and footwear, featuring an NFT alongside an artist-designed physical Adidas Originals Campus 00’s sneaker.

Described as a “harmonious collision of perspectives,” the Adidas Originals x FEWOCiOUS collection aims to incorporate FEWOCiOUS’ distinct playful style, deeply personal approach, and bold aesthetic into the designs.

By combining physical and digital drops, Adidas aims to create an immersive experience for sneaker enthusiasts and art collectors alike.

Starting on June 22, enthusiasts will have the opportunity to mint 4,500 Trefoil Flower Mint Passes on the OpenSea marketplace.

These mint passes serve as a direct redemption ticket for a pair of artist-designed Adidas Originals Campus 00’s sneakers. The NFTs can be burned via a process starting in August, with shipping scheduled to commence the following month.

Each physical sneaker will come embedded with an NFC tag, further enhancing the connection between the physical and digital realms.

The Trefoil Flower NFT will be available through a pre-sale in three stages, followed by a public minting event. Early access to minting the NFT at a discounted price will be granted to individuals who already own Adidas’ Alts Decos and Soles NFTs, as well as Fewocious Paint Drops.

This limited-time opportunity allows collectors to secure the Trefoil Flower NFT at a reduced price of 0.2 ETH.

This collaboration is not the first between Adidas and FEWOCiOUS. The 20-year-old transgender youth previously worked with Adidas in an official capacity at Studio (Three Stripes Studio) during Art Basel Miami in December 2022.

With over $50 million in lifetime sales and collaborations with renowned entities such as RTFKT, Christie’s, Sotheby’s, and the David Bowie estate, FEWOCiOUS has established itself as a prominent creator in the Web3 and NFT space.

Adidas has been actively embracing the NFT space, starting with its acquisition of a Bored Ape NFT and the subsequent creation of the fictional character Indigo Herz in December 2021.

The brand’s “Into the Metaverse” collection has facilitated over $150 million worth of NFT trading volume to date, offering exclusive merchandise to NFT holders.
