Elon Musk is expanding the selection of products and services offered by his business that can be purchased using cryptocurrency.
Musk calls Burnt Hair perfume, which the billionaire’s tunneling company, Boring Company, just released, “the finest fragrance on Earth.”
Musk, the richest man in the world, saw an opportunity to profit from oddball products and released a perfume called “Burnt Hair,” which he claimed made a million dollars in just a few hours by selling 10,000 bottles.
“With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable – why did I even fight it for so long!?” Musk posed the question on Twitter, where he now identifies as a perfume salesman.
Moreover, Musk claims that his business accepts Dogecoin as payment for the $100 perfume (DOGE). The richest man in the world is a fervent supporter of the token inspired by dogs, choosing it over the most popular cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC).
He claimed in a June interview with Bloomberg News that the “not that wealthy” people who encourage him to support and purchase the cryptocurrency asset are the reason he promotes the meme coin, saying “And you can pay with Doge!”
Additionally, buyers can complete their transactions using the cryptocurrency payment processor BitPay, which accepts several cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Wrapped Bitcoin, ApeCoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Euro Coin, and stablecoins like Gemini Dollar, USD Coin, Pax Dollar.
Although the perfume is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2023, Musk claims 10,000 bottles have already been sold.
“10,000 bottles of Burnt Hair sold! Can’t wait for media stories tomorrow about $1 million of Burnt Hair sold.”
