Terra Founder Do Kwon has 14 days to return his passport, according to a public notice that was posted on the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website on October 5.

The South Korean government threatened to revoke Kwon’s passport if he didn’t comply.

It appears that the South Korean Foreign Ministry had been thinking about this for a month before acting.

Moreover, the “inability to deliver” the passport return order was the reason why the announcement was made public.

The South Korean government also included a PDF document in addition to the notice, outlining in detail why the Ministry would not consider Kwon’s request for another passport renewal.

The notice stated, “Our Department would like to send a “Notice of Order for Return of Passport” to you by registered mail, and we inform you that your passports will be administratively and legally invalidated.”

Local media outlets reported that South Korean prosecutors had ordered the freezing of Kwon-related cryptocurrency assets worth about $40 million. The Terra Founder responded with a tweet that denied ownership of the funds.

He has also denied rumors that he is “on the run” and stated that he was unable to locate an Interpol “Red Notice” that, according to prosecutors, was posted on the website of the international police organization. This is all part of his ongoing Twitter tirade.

However, Singaporean authorities claimed that they were unable to find Kwon’s location when the South Korean government issued an arrest warrant.
