The NBA star Stephen Curry has decided to join the Bored Ape Yacht family, buying one of the NFTs for 55 ETH, worth around $180,000.
Stephen Curry bought the Bored Ape Yacht Club, which is one of a collection of 10,000 apes with gloomy expressions. The digital representations of the Bored Apes are featured on the OpenSea NFT marketplace. They feature many properties, ranging from different looks to outfits, hairdos, and even having cheetah coats.
However, Curry’s NFT Bored Ape has blue fur, zombie’s eyes, and it wears a tweed outfit. According to reports, the last two are especially rare properties, with only 3% of Apes having zombie’s eyes. And only 1% of apes wear tweed clothes.
Note that the NFT was earlier sold for 1.5 ETH ($4,875 at press time price) 3 months ago, but before that, it was sold for 0.68 ETH ($2,210).
Moreover, Curry’s deal comes ahead of the picture resulting today in all bored ape holders. As per reports, all bored ape holders will receive a “Mutant Serum” per ape after the snapshot. But not many details were given about the serum.
These days, bored apes NFTs are rising in demand. As of now, the cheapest on auction is 25 ETH worth around $81,250, according to OpenSea.
