Notre Game, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, is partnering with Singaporean MMA brand One Championship to create a mixed martial arts (MMA) mobile strategy fighting game with NFTs.

The game, called One Fight Arena, is set to launch in early 2024, with early player testing scheduled for later this year.

In One Fight Arena, athletes will become NFTs, providing owners with verifiable authenticity and statistics on character rarity.

The game will also be released as a free-to-play mobile game, with no token elements required for those who want to play entirely for free.

The game will feature One Championship’s roster of different fighters and will offer strategic gameplay via a first-person point of view, allowing players to simulate each fighter’s experience from the beginning of their respective fighting careers.

One Championship co-founder and Group President Hua Fung Teh sees One Fight Arena as a way to give MMA fans a new experience, though not much else has been revealed about the game.

With the increasing popularity of NFTs and the continued growth of the gaming industry, the collaboration between Notre Game and One Championship is an exciting development. The use of NFTs will provide players with a unique and authentic gaming experience, while the free-to-play option will make the game accessible to a wider audience.
