WeTransfer, a leading global file transfer company, has announced a partnership with Swiss blockchain firm Minima, to launch NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on Minima’s network.

The network is set to go live in 180 countries in March, offering creators the right to manage their digital property.

This partnership will provide consumers with the ability to generate NFTs from their smartphones or any other device, and control how they share their digital assets.

Additionally, they will have access to tools that will allow them to monetize their NFTs.

Minima, founded in 2018 in the crypto hub of Zug, Switzerland, uses a proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism that is designed to decentralize power usage and spread the calculations across devices in its network.

The firm raised $6.5 million in a Series A funding round in October 2021 from prominent investors such as GSR, SMO Capital, and Vinny Lingham.
