Southampton FC searches Web3 and sports tech startups to join Yolo Group’s Future of Football Initiative

Southampton FC, along with Sport Republic and Yolo Group, have launched The Future of Football Challenge to find and support innovative sports tech startups.

The challenge invites startups and scaleups with novel solutions related to football development (such as scouting, training, and game analytics) or fan engagement (such as loyalty programs and global fan engagement) to participate in a 4-week virtual program.

During the program, selected teams will be able to rapidly test and pilot their solutions, attend tailored workshops, and have direct access to decision-makers from Southampton FC, Sport Republic, and Yolo Group.

At the end of the program, teams will pitch for a commercial relationship with Southampton FC and a £100,000 prize pool for solution development.

The challenge is being powered by Sport Republic and Yolo Group, with Yolo Group serving as the managing partner. Both Sport Republic and Yolo Group are based in London and have a focus on sports and innovation.
