Shiba Inu (SHIB), the second-largest meme coin, is moving forward with new projects even though the community has had mixed responses and the coin hasn’t been doing as well as other meme coins lately.
Lucie, who is in charge of marketing, talked about plans for a layer-3 blockchain and new tokens that will make the ecosystem better. Tokens like SHIB, LEASH, BONE, SHEB, Shiboshis, ShibtheMV, TREAT, and SHI open up a world of options. The new L3 coin is the most interesting.
Despite these attempts, SHIB is criticized, and there are concerns about its performance. The token hasn’t caught up to other meme coins, and some people in the community are unhappy with how slowly and broadly the project is moving.
Working with open-source cryptography company Zama, the layer-3 blockchain project will use Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to keep data safe. It will be built on top of the Ethereum layer-2 blockchain, Shibarium.
Shiba Inu wants to add real-world use to its environment, but some people are worried about the project’s ability to keep its promises and the risk of using up too many resources. Shiba Inu was about 80% below its all-time high at the time of the announcements. This has caused a mix of excitement for new developments and frustration over present strategies.
Even though there has been criticism, Lucie is hopeful that the layer-3 blockchain and new tokens like TREAT and SHI will lead to an environment that is more focused on utility.
