Donald Trump’s World Liberty Financial (WLFI) purchased $2 million each in Avalanche (AVAX) and Mantle (MNT) tokens.
President Trump‘s World Liberty Financial (WLFI) made significant investments over the weekend. The firm purchased $2 million each in Avalanche (AVAX) and Mantle (MNT) tokens. This follows a previous acquisition of 541,783 SEI tokens. According to data, WLFI’s total portfolio now consists of 11 digital assets, including Ethereum, Wrapped Bitcoin, and others.
According to Arkham Intelligence, WLFI has invested around $343 million in these assets but is currently facing unrealized losses of $118 million. Ethereum is the largest holding, making up 58% of the portfolio, which translates to $88 million in losses.
The recent token purchases occurred after WLFI completed a $550 million token sale. Eric Trump, serving as the project’s web3 ambassador, hinted at future developments following this sale. Additionally, WLFI has partnered with the Sui Foundation to integrate Sui assets into its token reserve and co-develop new products.
Recent reports from the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg indicate that WLFI has been in talks with Binance about potential business opportunities, including the creation of a stablecoin. However, both WLFI and Binance’s CEO, Changpeng Zhao, have dismissed these reports.
