Paris Hilton is taking her ventures to the virtual world with the launch of “Parisland,” a gamified dating experience in the metaverse of The Sandbox.

This imaginative reality show will allow players to enter the metaverse beginning February 13 and interact with five other players, complete exciting quests, and ultimately choose a partner.

In a statement, Sandbox Co-Founder and COO Sebastien Borget expressed that the design of Parisland was aimed at fostering genuine relationships and connections between players.

The dating experience was developed in collaboration with 11:11 Media and its Web3 and metaverse strategy lead, Cynthia Miller, hopes that users will be able to form real romantic connections through the Parisland experience.

The Sandbox is a virtual world built on Polygon that has attracted several celebrities, such as Snoop Dogg and deadmau5, who have purchased premium virtual land in its metaverse.

It is worth mentioning that while The Sandbox may seem like a platform for children due to its name, its Terms of Use restrict access to adults over the age of 18.

The Sandbox operates using its native ERC-20 token SAND, which has seen a decline of 85% over the past year, but has rebounded with a 42% increase in the past month, according to CoinGecko price data.

In Parisland, players will engage in activities such as shopping for outfits, selecting wedding rings, solving a secret inside a burger, and “rescuing a castaway.” Paris Hilton’s vision for Parisland is to “help people find love” and provide an exciting dating experience in the metaverse.
