Shiba Eternity, a trading card game that allows players to “fight without violence” with Shiboshis, was released earlier this month by the community behind the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Shiba Inu ($SHIB).
Over 11,000 users have reviewed the game on the Google Play store, giving it an overall rating of 4.6 out of 5. The app store for Apple currently rates the game 4.8 out of 5.
In Shiba Eternity, players compete to drain the strength of their rivals’ Shiboshis, virtual canine warriors, by selecting different cards each turn. After being tested in Vietnam in August, the game was first made available in Australia in September.
At the beginning of the game, players are led by a sensei who goes by the name Ryoshi in honor of the project’s creator, Ryoshi. Players are led on an introductory quest to help them get used to the game’s mechanics.
Shiba Inu’s developers claim that the game, which includes 10,000 Shiboshi heroes, 500 collectible cards, 87 card traits, 21 special powers, 21 card keywords, 11 passive powers, and more, may be among the most intricate collectible card games ever released.
To further reduce the amount of Shiba Inu tokens in circulation, the game’s creators claim that 5% of the game’s revenue will be burned.
The SHIBArmy has long used token burns to lower supply in an effort to support a potential increase in SHIB’s price if demand increases.
