Pump.fun, a popular meme coin launchpad on Solana, has reintroduced its livestreaming feature for 5% of users after a suspension due to inappropriate content. Co-founder Alon announced this change on Friday. The platform faced backlash for disturbing content that aired during some streams, prompting a need for new guidelines.

To address these issues, Pump.fun has implemented a content moderation policy. This policy aims to protect users and the platform from harmful or illegal content while still allowing for creativity and freedom of expression.

The updated rules clearly outline what content is prohibited, including violence, harassment, sexual exploitation, child endangerment, and illegal activities. The platform also takes a strong stance against privacy violations, such as doxing, and will work with law enforcement on criminal cases.

While Not Safe For Work (NSFW) content is not banned outright, it must not fall into the prohibited categories. The platform acknowledges that much of the content may be NSFW and will evaluate it on a case-by-case basis. The moderation team has the authority to determine what is appropriate and can intervene when necessary.

Users who violate the rules may face consequences, including stream termination and account suspension. However, they can appeal content removal through the support system, although Pump.fun retains final authority over policy enforcement.

The livestreaming feature was initially suspended last November due to severe criticism over harmful content, including violent threats and explicit acts aimed at manipulating token values.
